Firefighters rescue kitten trapped in storm drain

BSO Fire Rescue searches for new home for 'Stormy'

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Cries echoing from a storm drain had Broward Sheriff's Office Department of Fire Rescue at 18th Street and 40th Avenue pulling out a kitten trapped in the darkness Tuesday evening.

Firefighters have begun to call the kitten "Stormy" because of the dramatic storm drain incident.

The kitten's mother couldn't be found, but firefighters are keeping Stormy safe until a new home is found.
