MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Two people were wounded in a shooting on a busy South Beach street early Monday morning.

The shooting occurred about 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Seventh Street, not far from Ocean Drive.

"At 12:30 this morning, one of our officers, who was on active patrol, was flagged down by the victim in this case stating that he had been shot multiple times," Miami Beach police Officer Ernesto Rodriguez told Local 10 News.

Before he was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, Harris gave police a description of the shooter and the car in which he was riding.

Minutes later, police stopped a silver Honda Civic matching the description in front of the Miami Beach Convention Center on 19th Street.

Police said four men, including the alleged shooter, who had been shot in the hand, were inside the car. The alleged shooter was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center.

All four men were being questioned by detectives, but no arrests have been made.

Family members said Harris underwent surgery and was recovering in the intensive care unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

One of his friends told Local 10 News reporter Michael Seiden that Harris is a graduate of Miami Carol City High School and never had any enemies.
