Florida: Deputy rescues injured baby deer

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A Lee County Sheriff’s deputy rescued an injured baby deer in Fort Myers on Wednesday.

The fawn, found in the median of Airkraft Court, is believed to have been struck by a car.

Sergeant Clark responded to the scene and has been working with the Blue Pearl Pet Hospital to provide treatment for the deer. He even wrapped it in his jacket to keep it warm.

According to a Facebook post, the deer will be transferred to the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife in Sanibel for further treatment.
