MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. – Martin County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a man they say was targeting girls in the Treasure Coast area on social media for sex.

Blaine Korben Hulten, 21, was arrested by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Pinellas County on Thursday. Detectives were looking into his social media activity after allegations surfaced that he had sexual contact with two minors, one as young as 13.

Hulten has been charged with lewd and lascivious battery and also faces 40 more charges including multiple counts of transmitting harmful material, production of child pornography, solicitation, and traveling to meet a minor.

Detectives say the case was uncovered after a School Resource Deputy learned that Hulten was taking young girls to the mall to purchase underwear.

Investigators believe that Hulten targeted multiple local juveniles via Snap Chat going as far back as Jan. 2022, using the profile names Blainefirerx, firex1, and cstripe623.

Hulton’s bond was set at $5 million.
