Bomb squad blows up suspicious device at Kendall car wash

Suspicious device turns out to be radio belonging to employee

MIAMI – The Miami-Dade Police Department's Bomb Squad blew up a suspicious device found at a car wash on Tuesday morning.

Around 10:25 a.m., Southwest 104th Street was shut down in both directions at 109th Court near the Shell gas station in Kendall.

Police said the suspicious device turned out to be a radio, belonging to an employee at the car wash.

All lanes at Southwest 104th Street have been reopened.
