CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Police were still investigating the Sunday deaths of a five-year-old girl and her 32-year-old mother in Coral Springs.

Detectives also released the two recordings of men who called 911 after finding the bodies of the little girl, Joneily Lanclos, and her mom, Heidy Marrero.

They were at the Sherwood Square apartment complex pool in the Spring Circle Villas neighborhood. There was confusion. Both callers didn't speak English well and the dispatchers didn't speak Spanish.

"There is two girls inside the pool," said a man. "I think they are dead."

The caller said he wasn't sure how long they had been there for. The dispatcher asked him to "get them out of the water."

The man shouted, "Ok. Ok. Ok." A woman could be heard saying, "do it! do it!" in Spanish. And later, she said in Spanish, "It's a lady and her daughter."

The two were facing down in a pool at an apartment complex for more than an hour before they found little Joneily and her mom on Sunday afternoon, Sgt. Carla Kmiotek said.

"We do know that they did come down to the pool," Kmiotek said.

Police said Joneily was wearing a bathing suit and her mom was not.

Detectives were still waiting for the medical examiner's report to determine if drowning was the cause of death, but all signs pointed to that, police said.

Detectives were asking anyone with information to call Detective Dave Young at 954-346-1219.
