TSA seizes 2 guns at South Florida airports

MIAMI - Screeners for the Transportation Security Administration stopped two loaded guns from making it onto flights from South Florida on Thursday.

The TSA said screeners found a loaded 9 mm handgun, which is seen in the picture above, at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.

Also on Thursday, TSA screeners found a loaded .40 automatic handgun in a carry-on bag at Miami International Airport.

In total, the TSA found 29 guns in carry-on baggage across the country in the last week. Of those 29 guns, 28 were loaded.
