PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. - Pembroke Pines police officers were asking women and teens Thursday to beware of a man who has already scared two teenage girls into reporting him.

In two separate incidents, the girls told police officers the man persuaded them to get close to his vehicle and asked them for directions to Sawgrass Mills mall.

Sgt. Angela Goodwin said in an e-mail that the man offered to charge one of the girl's cell phones, and after opening his trunk he asked a girl to get closer.

The officers were searching for the man to question him. One of the recent incidents was at 8400 NW 19 St. and the other at 12105 Pembroke Rd.

Goodwin was asking anyone with information to call police at 954-431-2200 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
