Special Olympics gets new facility at NSU University School

NSU University School hosts grand opening of the Noel P. Brown Sports Center

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Special Olympics Broward County has a new home in the heart of Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. 

NSU University School, a private school on campus, held the grand opening of the 59,000 square foot Noel P. Brown Sports Center on Friday.

Special Olympics Broward is part of Special Olympics Florida, which serves some 4,200 athletes in Broward County. 

NSU University School is hosting the Special Olympics Unified Sports Rivalry series, presented by ESPN, with 21 other National Collegiate Athletic Association teams from rival schools and universities nationwide. 

The Broward County Basketball Games will be held Dec. 10 and the Area 10 Basketball Games are Jan. 8. Special Olympics Florida welcomes volunteers. For more information, visit their website
