MIRAMAR, Fla. – A mother from Pembroke Pines has been arrested and accused of driving drunk while picking up her child from school.
Miramar police said they pulled over Lisset Llauro on Monday after her car ran over plastic cones in the school pickup line outside Silver Lakes Elementary, then nearly rear ended another vehicle.
When officers questioned Llauro, 39, they said her speech was slurred. Llauro denied drinking or taking any drugs.
Officers then conducted a roadside sobriety test, which she failed, police said.
Llauro was charged with driving under the influence and transported to the Broward County Jail. She was released on bond Tuesday afternoon.
