NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – A man died Monday night in a hit-and-run in North Miami, according to authorities.
It happened just before 7 p.m. at 123rd Terrace and North Miami Avenue.
Authorities said they do not yet have a description of the vehicle that hit the man and sped off. However, Local 10's Baron James reported investigators have a hubcap and shattered glass, which could lead police to the driver. Police will also check for surveillance video as the investigation continues.
The victim's identity has not yet been released. At 9:20 p.m., his body was still in the roadway.
Police made a restricted perimeter in the block where the accident happened.
