Dolphins host first-ever Fin Fest

Fan-friendly event is free at Sun Life Stadium

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The Miami Dolphins are hosting the first-ever Fin Fest Saturday at Sun Life Stadium and it is free and open to Dolphins fans.

The event on April 28 is designed for the whole family.

The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. when fans can participate in the Gridiron Griller Tailgate Challenge for a chance to win great prizes. Participants may arrive at 8:30 a.m. to set up and prepare food and judging will take place from noon to 1:00 p.m.

Gridiron Griller John Offerdahl and former Dolphins Linebacker, current players and alumni will select winners for this event.

The Gridiron Griller Tailgate Challenge is limited to the first 100 entries (20 in each Category). To be eligible to win the grand prize, a trip on the team plane to a 2012 Dolphins away game, fans must register here.

Season ticket holders can enter the stadium at noon, while doors will open at 1:00 p.m. for the general public.

Admission and parking are free. Finatics attending FIN FEST will also have the opportunity to meet current players and Dolphins alumni, vote for the 2012 Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders during the final auditions, play on the football field and shop the Dolphins Equipment Room garage sale with the proceeds benefitting the Miami Dolphins Foundation.

The event is taking place at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens.
