Broward Sheriff's Office looks for Chrysler Town and Country minivan involved in hit-and-run

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Broward Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver of a minivan who hit a woman crossing State Road 7 in North Lauderdale late Tuesday.

According to police, Jean Mirabile, 49, was walking westbound when she was hit near SW 12th Street about 10 p.m. Witnesses said the minivan had a green light when Mirabile stepped into the roadway, and kept going after hitting her.

Mirabile was taken to Broward Health North. Her injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Detectives are looking for a 2001-2005 silver Chrysler Town and Country minivan similar to the one pictured above.. Detectives said the minivan is missing the passenger-side mirror and possibly has additional damage on the passenger side of the vehicle.
