KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. - The Village of Key Biscayne has a new fire chief.

The village sent a news release on Wednesday announcing that longtime Key Biscayne Resident and Deputy Fire Chief, Eric Lang, has been appointed to the position of Fire Chief and Emergency Management Coordinator.

Lang is an 18-year veteran and original member of Key Biscayne Fire Rescue. He graduated from the National Fire Academy, received his Bachelors degree in Public Administration from Barry University and a Masters degree in Business from the University of Miami.

"I could not have been able to prepare for the responsibilities without the support of my family and great mentors," said Chief Lang.
