Miami Beach police detectives investigate shooting in Normandy Isles

Wounded man taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - A Miami Beach resident was shot Saturday morning and robbery detectives were investigating. The victim said two men were after his gold chains. 

Miami Beach Police Department officers were called to 1022 Bay Drive in Normandy Isles about 5 a.m.

According to Officer Ernesto Rodriguez, the officers found the man wounded. A paramedic determined he suffered non-life-threatening injuries. 

The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in Miami.
