FHP looking for driver after hit-and-run crash

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help after a fatal hit-and-run crash in northwest Miami-Dade County.

It happened Wednesday afternoon on State Road 836 just east of Northwest 57th Avenue.

Troopers said a car traveling east struck the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver left the scene.

Troopers are looking for a black car, possibly a Mercedes, with damage to its right passenger side.

They believe there may be motorists who witnessed the hit-and-run and possibly obtained a license plate number or a better description of the vehicle involved.
