Miami-Dade police release surveillance image of serial burglar

Man caught on camera described to be in his 30s

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for man who they believe is behind a series of burglaries in several businesses in the Kendall and Hammocks area.

On Tuesday, officials released a surveillance picture of the burglar from one of the businesses targeted.

According to investigators, the man is described to be in his 30s and is wearing business attire, carrying a messenger bag and talking on a cellphone prior to breaking into the businesses.

Back in December, police said the man was caught on camera breaking into the Samaria Beauty Supply, at 8260 SW 40th Street, where he stole a cash register containing $100 in cash.

Security cameras also show the man burglarizing the Peace Love Hair Salon, at 7190 SW 87th Ave., and the IPC Insurance office at 10481 SW 88th St. The man allegedly broke the door's lock. Once inside he stole cash and electronics, and fled the store.

Police believe the man is responsible for breaking into numerous businesses in the area.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
