SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Miami-Dade Police are investigating after a man suffered a gunshot wound during a confrontation with officers at a home in the South Miami Heights area.
Police say while responding to a call of shots fired, they were confronted by a man with a shotgun. Police fired their weapons during the confrontation, and later subdued the man using a taser.
After he was arrested, the man was found to have suffered a gunshot wound during this confrontation.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the man to Kendall Regional Hospital, he is listed in stable condition. No officers were injured.
