MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are asking the public to come forward with any information they have about the killing of a 34-year-old man over the weekend.
According to authorities, Jonathan Varela was killed shortly before 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of Kendale Lakes Drive and Southwest 65th Street.

Police did not immediately confirm how Varela was killed or whether they are aware of a possible motive.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective R. Silvestre at 305-471-2400. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for anonymous tips that lead to an arrest.
