Sha Durden said she was at the mall at 1205 NE 163 Street when she heard a loud noise.

"I come running and the elevator fell with a woman and her daughter," Durden said in Facebook post. "We tried to get her out."

No one was able to help until the firefighters arrived. They used the hydraulic jaws to open the doors of the elevator. The woman and her daughter told firefighters they were in pain.

Brixmor Property Group, the mall's management company, released a statement saying they were working with the elevator company.

"The elevator is on a regular maintenance schedule and had just been serviced in the past week," Brixmor Property Group spokesperson Krisen Moore said in a statement.
