Palmetto Bay schedules runoff elections

PALMBETTO BAY, Fla. - Palmetto Bay is holding run-off elections on Nov. 20 to elect a vice-mayor and fill an open seat on the village council.

No candidate in the races received more than 50% of the vote on Election Day.

There will only be two questions on the ballot. The race for vice mayor is between Brian Pariser and John Dubois. Tim Schaffer and Jim Araiza are running for Council Seat 2.

A sample ballot is available on Palmetto Bay's web site.

Absentee ballots will be mailed on Nov. 15. Voters may request absentee ballots online at or by calling (305) 499-8444 no later than 5 p.m. on Nov. 15.

Voters can cast their ballots at their regular Palmetto Bay precinct from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
