Thieves hit store in Coral Springs twice

Surveillance video from Burlington Coat Factory in Coral Springs shows a couple suspected of stealing about $954 in shoes on May 7.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Coral Springs Police said Monday they are looking for a couple who stole from the same store twice this month. 

Surveillance video caught the suspected thieves -- who have a preference for Coach designer shoes -- on May 7 when they took about $954 in shoes.

According to a Coral Springs police press release the couple grabbed the shoes, "removed them from the boxes, removed the security sensors and then concealed the said shoes in Burlington Coat Factory bags they brought with them." 

On May 7, police said the couple stole 19 pairs from Burlington Coat Factory, 6251 W. Sample Rd., in Coral Springs.

"After this case the same suspects came back four days later and hit this store again," Coral Springs Sgt. Carla Kmiotek said in an e-mail.
