MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - A man found in the ocean, holding only a cooler lid to stay afloat, was reunited with his rescuers.

George Verdecia was found earlier this week off of Key Biscayne with his brother.

The two were out fishing when their boat sank, leaving them treading water for hours.

The Coast Guard eventually found the two men, who were spotted by Sky 10. Our helicopter crew helped rescuers pinpoint their location.

"I appreciate the work [the Coast Guard] put in and that they were out there and they saved me," Verdecia said in a Coast Guard video. "Once they got to me I couldn't swim no more. If the current would have gotten me again, I would have been out there again."

The brothers were both hospitalized, but are doing just fine.
