TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The FBI has released a surveillance image of a car that could be linked to the killing of FSU law professor Daniel Markel.
Markel was shot in the head inside the garage of his home in Tallahassee July 18, 2014. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead the following day.
The FBI said a 2006 to 2009 Toyota Prius was seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting. The car appears to be metallic to light green and is named "Silver Pine Mica" by Toyota.
The vehicle has a missing tow bolt cover on the driver's-side front bumper and the passenger-side mirror housing is black, while the driver's-side mirror housing is the same color as the car.
A toll transponder is mounted in the center of the front windshield.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the FBI at 754-703-2000.
A $100,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction, in addition to a $25,000 Crime Stoppers reward.
