Video shows FHP trooper using Taser on man with hands up

No troopers involved in incident suspended at this time

KEY LARGO, Fla. – A Florida Highway Patrol trooper is being investigated after a YouTube video surfaced showing him using a Taser on a 59-year-old man who had his hands up.

The FHP confirmed to Local 10 News that the incident happened just after 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14 during a traffic stop in Key Largo at U.S. 1 and County Road 905.

The video, published Monday, shows one of the officers pulling the man from a minivan before another one uses a Taser on him.

A woman can be heard in the background of the video asking a man she was with, "Is he alive?"

"Yeah, he'll be OK," the man says.

"Oh God, he's all limp," the woman says.

The FHP said no troopers involved in the incident have been suspended at this time.

According to Keysnews.com, the man in the minivan was committed to a hospital under the Baker Act.
