LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. - Deputies say a Fort Lauderdale man was killed when he crashed into a concrete pole in Lauderdale Lakes.

After 6:30 a.m. Saturday, deputies said Emmanuel Vedrine, 45, was driving 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo westbound on Oakland Park Boulevard, just east of State Road 7, when he lost control, spun around and struck a concrete light pole.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded and pronounced Vedrine dead at the scene.
