Help for Homeowners events to be held Wednesday and Thursday

MIAMI - The government and non-profit organizations are working together to provide South Florida homeowners with solutions to avoid foreclosure.

Help for Homeowners events will be held the James L. Knight Center in Miami. The events are sponsored by the Obama Administration's Making Home Affordable Program and HOPE NOW.

Representatives from mortgage companies and a HUD-approved counseling agency will be on hand for face-to-face meetings with local homeowners. Assistance is available in both English and Spanish.

The event runs from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27 and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, February 28 at 400 SE Second Avenue. Complimentary self parking is available in the Convention Center Garage on 100 SE 2nd Street.
