A verified GoFundMe campaign has been set up for the family of Army Sergeant La David Johnson, the Miami-native who was killed in action in Niger.
Johnson's body was returned to his family in an emotional homecoming Tuesday at Miami International Airport.
Johnson leaves behind two children, and his wife Myeshia is currently pregnant with their third child.
The GoFundMe campaign is one of a few set places to help out Johnson's family.
Johnson was fighting alongside Green Berets when he died. The group, which included a Nigerien patrol, didn't have U.S. overhead armed air cover when Islamic militants ambushed them Oct. 4 near the Niger border with Mali.
