TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida Gov. Rick Scott is being hounded by reporters after he returned a rescue dog he adopted while running for office.

According to published reports, the governor returned the Labrador retriever named Reagan just after the inauguration.

Reporters noticed that the dog, which had been featured in a Facebook campaign to name it, hadn't been seen since Scott was inaugurated in January of 2011. They later found out the dog had been returned to its previous owners.

When asked why, the governor said Reagan was scaring everyone at the governor's mansion, because he would not stop barking if he saw someone carrying something.
