MIAMI - Across the Magic City, Miami Heat fans are showing their team spirit in a big way, as the Heat are only one game away from an NBA title.
The Rev. Abraham Thomas, known as "The Heat Man," said he hopes Thursday's game is the last dance for the Thunder.
"I've got my Capt. Abraham outfit on because we are going to send Oklahoma fishing. So I'm representing the Heatville Charter Fishing Club," Thomas said.
Meanwhile, diehard Heat fan Dennis Joseph painted a sign on his van with LeBron James' picture, saying, "All LeBron haters and Dan Gilbert are now on life support machine. He will pull the plug tonight." Gilbert is the owner of the Cavaliers.
"I went to Home Depot and got some paint, and me and my son fixed it up," Joseph said.
Heat fans want to savor the game so much they showed up hours before Thursday's tipoff.
"I live here, and I can't wait for them to win tonight. We are going to have a big after-party here," said fan Ken Navarro, who was wearing a LeBron James headband. "LeBron underwear, LeBron headband, anything!"
Fan Liam Qinn is visiting Miami from Australia for the game.
"Took a flight down here from Chicago this morning, so it took a while to get here, but well worth the effort," Qinn said.
Meanwhile, some fans got their pots and pans ready for a big, noisy celebration if the Heat win Thursday night.
Heat fans from all around South Florida -- and even other states -- sent Local 10 pictures showing their Heat pride. Click here to view the entire slideshow.
