Innocent bystander shot during argument at Miami-Dade food mart, police say

Police searching for man, woman involved in incident

MIAMI – Police are searching for two people involved in a shooting Monday evening at a food mart in Miami-Dade County. 

According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, two men were arguing in front of the food mart at 19190 W. Dixie Highway just before 7 p.m. when one of the men pulled out a gun and began to shoot.

Police said Luis Anselmo Rivera Sostre, 58, who was not involved in the altercation, was standing outside the store when he was shot in the leg.

The gunman left the area in a newer-model white Dodge Durango, which was driven by a woman wearing a green shirt.

Sostre was taken to Aventura Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Police are now searching for the gunman and the woman driving the vehicle.
