FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A jury is due back in court Wednesday morning to deliberate the fate of a Broward County deputy accused of stealing money after a drug arrest.
Brent Wooddell was caught taking the money in a sting operation set up by internal affairs. Wooddell told the court he knew he was being set up and he took the money to confront his accusers.
Jurors could not reach a verdict after closing arguments on Monday. On Tuesday morning, the judge dismissed them early in the day because he had other business to attend to.
They are due back in court at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
