2 children hurt when truck crashes into Hialeah home

Hialeah Fire Department investigating whether home is safe following crash

The Hialeah Fire Department is checking to see if a home is structurally safe after a truck crashed into it Monday morning.

HIALEAH, Fla. – Two children were hurt when a truck crashed into a Hialeah home Monday morning.

Sky 10 was above the scene at East Third Avenue and 61st Street about 8 a.m. Monday. It appeared a gray truck went off the road and into the porch of a home. Another vehicle appeared to have been damaged as well.

It is unclear whether the children who were hurt were inside the home or one of the vehicles at the time of the crash.

Authorities said their injuries were minor, but both were take to the hospital as a precaution. Their father also suffered a cut to the face. 

The Hialeah Fire Department was called to investigate whether the house is structurally safe.
