MIAMI – Kevin Schwartz said the community support for his son, Jacob, has been overwhelming.
Jacob was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma, the most common type of bone cancer in children and teenagers.
Schwartz is a motorcycle officer with the Village of Biscayne Park Police Department. Some of his colleagues at the Miami Police Department lined up under the rain on Thursday to donate blood inside two parked One Blood red buses.
