Suspect accused of shooting two co-workers at Fort Lauderdale business pleads not guilty

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A new development in the case of a man accused of shooting two of his co-workers.

Carlos Diaz Mieses was arrested for allegedly opening fire at the Fort Lauderdale moving facility he worked at.

The incident in question took place Friday, May 14 in Fort Lauderdale.

On Saturday, Mieses appeared before a judge and entered a plea of not guilty.

He is facing multiple counts of premeditated murder and attempted felony murder.

According to police, Mieses got into a argument with a co-worker at Good Greek Moving and Storage when a third employee stepped in to break up the altercation.

That’s when police said Mieses allegedly pulled out a gun and shot both men.
