MARGATE, Fla. – Margate police are investigating after a child was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred in the area of Atlantic Boulevard and Northwest 66th Avenue.

Margate police Lt. Al Banatte said the child was transported to a hospital by Margate Fire Rescue with non-life-threatening injuries.
Sources told Local 10 News that the victim is 11 years old, but authorities have not yet confirmed the child’s age or identity.
Police have also not disclosed who was at fault for the collision and whether the driver would be cited or charged.
