One of Coconut Grove’s most expensive homes hits the market

Villa Positano now on sale for $48 million

MIAMI – A luxurious property in Miami’s Coconut Grove can now be yours if you’ve got millions of dollars to spare.

The exquisite mansion sits on Biscayne Bay, overlooking the water, and has just hit the market for nearly $50 million.

One of Coconut Grove’s most expensive homes, Casa Positano’s Mediterranean villa sits on Munroe Drive in Camp Biscayne.

It is three stories high and has eight bedrooms and 8 1/2 baths with Caribbean-style, 12-feet wide al fresco terraces on every level.

The lot size? A whopping 24,500 square feet!

And if that isn’t enough, the best selling point has got to be the breathtaking views of Miami and over 300 feet of open bay waterfront with views overlooking Sailboat Bay, downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay.

The dream home just hit the market and is listed at $48 million.

It was built in 2004 and was recently renovated just last year.

Listing agent Elena Bluntzer says it won’t last.

“You’re very close to Coconut Grove. It offers everything you would want. You’re literally in the middle of Miami, (a) 15 minute drive to the airport. It’s not going to last,” she said.

Bluntzer said the mansion’s pool is “a pebble stone pool -- very romantic.”

“It’s beautiful because it has sun all day long,” she added.

Right by the pool is a boat lift on a private dock.

At the front entrance of the home is a vaulted carport to accommodate luxury cars, and the front door and foyer have 30-foot ceilings for a dramatic entrance.

Villa Positano is over 10,300 square feet, but don’t worry about getting around because there’s an elevator for that.

Jerusalem stone drapes the floors on the main floor as you head to the kitchen that is curated with honed marble countertops and a gas oven.

No matter where you are in the villa, you get 360-degree waterfront views.

“There’s a lot of glass -- anywhere in the house, you see the ocean, you see the bay. That’s one of the best features,” Bluntzer said. ”When you’re on the bay, you’re on the waterfront, you want to be able to see that water, so that makes it exquisite.”

Exquisite but familial. The house is located next door to some of the best schools in the country -- Ransom Everglades High School and Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart.
