AKRON, OH. – Surveillance video has been released by police, showing the moment a man allegedly tried to abduct a teenage girl in broad daylight.
The incident happened Friday morning in Akron, Ohio.
Police say the video shows the suspect trying to kidnap a 16-year-old girl from a bus stop.
The man walks back and forth near the teen before striking up a conversation with her.
You can then see the man forcibly grabbing and pulling the teen in the video, trying to drag her toward his car that was parked around the corner, authorities said.
Police said the teen clung to a chain-linked fence to avoid being kidnapped.

ABC News 5 in Cleveland reported that the teen called her mother immediately after the attack, and said, “Mommy, somebody just tried to take me.”
“It’s disturbing. It’s nerve-wracking. It’s a parent’s worst nightmare to be your child,” the mother told the news outlet. “Had she been caught off guard, this might have went the other way, but it was nothing but the grace of God that things turned out the way that they turned out.”
Police said the suspect, identified as Da Aaron Jackson, gave up during the struggle and fled the scene, but he was eventually arrested.
He now faces abduction charges and is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
