2 Miami-Dade residents win $1 million in scratch-off Florida Lottery tickets

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Two Miami-Dade County residents are millionaires after winning $1 million from the 500X The Cash Scratch-Off game from the Florida Lottery.

Carlos Romero, 62, of Miami Lakes, and Stephanie Wright, 54, of Miami Gardens, each claimed a $1 million prize.

Romero chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump sum payment of $820,000.00.

He purchased his winning ticket from Publix, at 15000 Miami Lakes Drive East in Miami Lakes. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

Wright also chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump sum payment of $820,000.00.

She purchased her winning ticket from Raceway, at 19851 Northwest 57th Avenue in Miami Gardens. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $50 game, 500X THE CASH, launched in February and features a top prize of $25 million, the largest ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game.

The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.
