In an arrest report, police wrote that Khwamee Barraca Woods got into the apartment “by unknown means,” entering “unannounced and uninvited” and headed to his ex’s bedroom armed with a kitchen knife, stabbing both victims multiple times.

Woods’ ex-girlfriend sustained “multiple stab wounds to her neck, breast area, right shoulder and right hand,” police wrote, while the man “sustained a stab wound to the right side of his chest.”

Police said after stabbing the two, he grabbed his ex-girlfriend’s car keys and took off.

Miami-Dade police officers spotted Woods on Northwest 51st Street and took him into custody less than four hours later, according to the report. Medics took him to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

According to police, Woods “denied all allegations” under questioning. Officers took him to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Aside from the two attempted felony murder counts, Woods faces two charges of aggravated battery and one count each of burglary and grand theft.
