POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Two teenagers were arrested after being accused of an armed carjacking that took place in Broward County.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office said they arrested an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old on charges that include sexual battery and kidnapping.

According to investigators, around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Corey Jones, 18, and a 16-year-old accomplice committed an armed kidnapping and sexual battery on an adult female after carjacking her at gunpoint in Pompano Beach.

Detectives said the two armed males walked up to the woman as she was returning home and forced her into the backseat of her car.

The suspects drove her to an unknown location and sexually battered her multiple times.

Then they drove her to a bank ATM and forced her to withdraw money from her account before sexually battering her again.
