1 hurt, 1 detained in road rage shooting in Lauderdale Lakes

Lauderdale Lakes, FLA ā€“ The Broward Sheriffā€™s Office is investigating a road rage incident that ended with a man shooting at another vehicle in Lauderdale Lakes Sunday afternoon.

Surveillance video obtained by Local 10 News shows an SUV cutting off a man on a motorcycle, apparently knocking him to the ground.

The driver of the motorcycle then gets up and fires several shots in the direction of the SUV while hopping on one foot.

Bystanders in the area can be seen running for cover before 3:40 p.m. at North State Road 7 and Northwest 26th Street.

A person who was shot was transported to a local hospital.

Deputies taped off the scene for much of Sunday afternoon and evening, placing evidence markers on the road.

The SUV could be seen with its doors open. Another red sedan remained at the scene.

Authorities did not clarify who had been shot, but the driver of the SUV can be seen on the surveillance video exiting his vehicle.

The Broward Sheriffā€™s Office detained someone at the scene for questioning.
