Woman injured by shards of glass after SUV shot at in North Lauderdale


NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A woman was taken to a hospital early Friday morning after a shooting was reported at a gas station in North Lauderdale.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Circle K gas station at 1190 State Road 7 in North Lauderdale around 3:45 a.m. regarding a shooting.

A black SUV was spotted at the scene with what appeared to be a bullet hole.

Authorities confirmed, however, that the victim was not shot, but was injured by glass shards from the window.

She was taken to a local hospital to be treated for “superficial wounds,” authorities said.

No other details were immediately released.
