“During the initial fire attack operations, several small explosions were heard and flames protruding through the roof,” Capt. Ignatius Carroll, a fire rescue spokesperson, said in an email.

First responders blocked off a block-and-a-half of streets as they fought the fire, which was knocked down in approximately 45 minutes.

No one was hurt. Officials have not yet described the extent of the damage.

Carroll said the cause of the fire remained under investigation as of Thursday afternoon.
