BSO detectives search for man wanted in ‘criminal investigation’

Broward Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying a man in reference to an ongoing “criminal investigation,” authorities said Tuesday.

According to BSO spokeswoman Claudinne Caro, surveillance video shows the man in the area of Hillsboro Boulevard and US 441 in Parkland.

The video shows the man walking with a broom and a bicycle in front of a home, however Caro did not release any further details regarding the investigation.

“Detectives are interested in speaking with him in reference to a criminal investigation,” Caro said in a news release. “Investigators describe the individual as an adult male, with a thin build, possibly between 5 feet 8 inches or 6 feet tall.”

Anyone with information or who recognizes the man is asked to call BSO SVU Det. Brenda Louis or Det. Stephanie Simmons at 754-307-4474 or 954-321-4228, or submit a tip through the SaferWatch app.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477), online at browardcrimestoppers.org, or dial **TIPS (8477) from any cellphone in the United States.
