South Florida businesses welcoming back customers following week of wet, windy weather

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Businesses were bustling Monday night in Fort Lauderdale after a painful stretch of wet and windy weather.

Before the sun went down on A1A near Las Olas, restaurants and bars putting all their tricks to work, including space heaters and drink specials.

Hailey Jewitt with Rock Bar said they’re making the most of it, before the temperatures drop again.

She’s not a fan of when it gets chilly outside.

“Oh my gosh it’s so bad,” said Jewitt. “I don’t particularly like it”

Of course many of the folks out and about in Fort Lauderdale are visiting South Florida and aren’t spoiled with the weather like the natives.

Coming off last week’s stretch of rainy weather, as long as it stays dry, it’s safe to say people won’t mind layering up to get their dinner and drink on, and local businesses certainly could use the patronage.
