Police identify woman shot dead in Lauderhill

Lauderhill, Fla. – A shooting in a Lauderhill residential neighborhood left a woman dead early Saturday morning, according to authorities.

Lauderhill police said they responded to a shooting call just before 6 a.m. at a home near the 2000 block of Northwest 46th Avenue, just east of the Florida Turnpike.

Upon arrival, authorities said they found a woman dead at the scene after she sustained a gunshot wound.

Police have identified the victim as 22-year-old Regina Vidal.

The investigation is ongoing and a motive for the shooting remains unclear.
