Runners take part in Life Time Miami Marathon

MIAMI ā€“ The 22nd annual Life Time Miami Marathon took place on Sunday morning in Downtown Miami.

The runners took off around 6 a.m., competing in either the half or full marathon.

With Miami such a melting pot of people from all over the world, there was representation from several different countries participating in the event.

Runners started downtown before going east to the beach, and all the way south to Coconut Grove before heading back north.

The full marathon winner was George Onyancha from Kenya, who is around 30 years old.

Approximately 18,000 runners took part in this yearā€™s marathon.
