Police: Victim turns up at Miramar McDonald’s after being shot in back

MIRAMAR, Fla. – Miramar police are investigating after they said one person was shot in the back Thursday morning.

According to police, officers were called to the McDonald’s at 6204 Miramar Pkwy shortly before 7:15 a.m. and made contact with the victim, who was uncooperative and didn’t want medical treatment from officers at the scene.

Police said the victim was eventually transported to Memorial Regional Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Officers canvassed the area, but have not found any evidence of a shooting in the city, authorities confirmed.

Police said they also did not receive any ShotSpotter alerts, but the victim claimed to have been shot in the area of Pembroke Road and State Road 7.

Officers are continuing to canvass the area for any evidence.
