POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Broward County deputies are investigating a deadly shooting in a Pompano Beach neighborhood Tuesday.
It happened at around 12:50 p.m. in the 2600 block of Northwest Seventh Street, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
A BSO spokesperson said after receiving reports of the shooting, deputies arrived to find a wounded man.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue crews took him to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies detained one person. Authorities have not publicly identified the victim.
BSO’s homicide and crime scene units were leading the investigation, according to the agency.
